Institut Teknologi Nasional (Itenas) Bandung hosted representatives from INTI International University Malaysia on Friday, August 4, 2023, at Gedung Rektorat. The visit was aimed at introducing INTI International University to Itenas and engaging in discussions regarding shared needs and goals.

Itenas was represented by Prof. Meilinda Nurbanasari, Ph.D. (Rector of Itenas), Mr. Tarsisius Kristyadi, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. (Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs), Mr. Dani Rusirawan, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. (Vice Rector for Planning, Innovation, and Partnership), Mr. Jono Suhartono, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. (Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Technology), Dr. Andry Masri, M.Sn. (Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Design), Mr. Bernardinus Herbudiman, S.T., M.T. (Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning), Dr. Eng. Fitri Suciaty, S.Si., M.Si. (Head of the Bureau of Partnership, Public Relations, and Marketing), and Ms. Levita Dwinaya, S.S., M.Hum. (Head of Itenas International Office).

During the visit to Itenas Bandung, representatives from INTI International University, Mr. Joseph Lee, Ph.D. (Vice Chancellor), and Prof. Dr. Lai Yin Ling (Senior Advisor to the Vice Chancellor) provided an overview of the university and proposed potential forms of collaboration between both institutions, such as joint events (seminars, workshops, and public lectures) and mobility programs (lecturers, staff, and students). The sharing session and discussions proceeded smoothly, generating opportunities for collaboration.

INTI International University is a private university in Malaysia offering undergraduate to doctoral programs. It consists of five faculties in the fields of science and social sciences (Faculty of Business and Communications, Faculty of Data Science and Information Technology, Faculty of Education and Liberal Arts, Faculty of Engineering and Quantity Surveying, Faculty of Health and Life Sciences), as well as a postgraduate school.

In terms of collaborations with other universities, INTI International University runs programs locally and internationally. Examples include Customized Study Tours based on disciplines, Student Exchange, Teaching Exchange/Visiting Scholar programs, Online/Offline Teacher Training, Collaboration Franchise/Dual Awards, Online Symposiums, and joint research initiatives.

The visit concluded with the exchange of mementos by the Itenas Bandung representatives and a group photo session. It is hoped that these collaboration opportunities will materialize soon, enhancing the competencies of Itenas Bandung’s students and faculty in the academic scope.
